Hanton Films UK is a female led - black owned independent film production company, the company was founded by Tianna Banton in 2013 and originally named Hanton Boque Films but was later shortened to Hanton Films in 2014. Our company is dedicated to producing diverse independent features, shorts and documentaries of professional and cinematic standards. Our Films span over a range of genres and audience tastes and include films such as Last Wish (2014), A Kind Soul (2015), Trial And Error (2017), Young Black And On The Way Up (2018) and Just Remember (2018). In 2019, Hanton Films recently produced their first black romance-comedy film The Closer I Get To You set to be released July 14th 2020 and plan to produce a series of films and other projects with diverse characters at the lead.

Championing new talent has been key to Hanton Film’s production strategy and it continues to pride itself on being at the forefront of breaking new talent into the industry. Hanton Films UK are also dedicated to amplifying the portrayal of people of colour in films and producing content that glorifies their cultures. Our aim as a production company is to create content that provides and brings diversity to the screen for all races, genders and sexual orientations.
